Lives in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania (2008)Artist and teacher, William Daley received his BS degree from Massachusetts College of Art in 1950 and an MA from Columbia University Teachers College in 1951. He retired from teaching at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA where he was named the First Distinguished Professor in 1989. Daley's [works have pushed] the traditional vessel to new heights as a sculptural form in the 1970's and 1980's. His work may be found in the collections of the National Museum of Art, the Smithsonian Institution, the Saint Louis Museum of Art, the Victoria & Albert Museum, London among others.
