Charles Edward Fogle
(Arkansas Democrat Gazette 2-1-2010)CHARLES EDWARD FOGLE, 80, of Little Rock, husband of Barbara(Thatch/Ogburn) Fogle died Monday, January 25, 2010. Born August 30, 1929, to the late William Henry Fogle and Mattie Eva (Jones) Fogle in Little Rock, Ark., he was a beloved member of Christ Episcopal Church, retired from Arkla Gas Company, and was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War.Charles is preceded in death by both his parents, two of his brothers, a sister, and one son. He is survived by an extended family of six adult children; 13 grandchildren; three loving great-grandchildren; a sister, Eugenia; a brother William Henry Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, and many dear friends and patrons.Charles is best known for his artwork which he started with a paint set he had earlier bought for his children. His over 300 extensively awarded and honored watercolors and mixed media pieces have now spread throughout the state, the nation and as far as Russia in private and corporate collections.Interment will be held at Arkansas Veterans’ Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland, North Little Rock, Thursday, February 4th, at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Scott Walters, Christ Episcopal Church. Soon to be announced will be a memorial service celebrating Charley’s life at Christ Episcopal Church.In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Disabled American Veterans Fund or any benevolent veteran’s organization.
