Julian Stair

Julian Stair has exhibited internationally for 23 years, recently showing in Japan, Canada, Germany and the USA. His work is represented in over twenty public collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum (UK), American Museum of Art & Design, Museum Boymans van Benningen (Netherlands), Hong Kong Museum of Art, and Sainsbury Centre for the Visual Arts at UEA, Norwich, UK.
A regular contributor to arts and craft journals worldwide, he has convened numerous conferences, seminars and international symposia. He is Research Fellow in Ceramics and Theory, and he also currently holds a Research Felllowship at the Royal College of Art, where he completed a theoretical PhD entitled 'Critical Writing on English Studio Pottery 1910-1940' in 2002. He was a finalist at the 2nd World Ceramic Exposition in Seoul, Korea, in 2003.
