Her pieces are about sumptuousness and abundance. The clear glass makes it hard for the viewer to decipher the individual components. The glitter of the glass adds to the sense of overwhelming abundance in the still life. The fragility of glass is displayed with the inclusion of fragments of broken glass. The glass fruit are permanent, unlike actual fruit, but fragile, precious and hard to discern in clear glass.for HOT COLOR cool glass 5/08 Anne Gochenour
